It's the third day this city is facing fire. The mayor of this municipality, Bali Muharremaj for Kosova Prees, says in some areas there is no possibility of insight, while the priority remains.

We currently have eight hot spots. Today we have units on the ground. Fire departments, as well as an KSF team that came on Sunday afternoon. According to information in the village of Krusica, near Bukoshi and Vraniq is still large amounts of fire, but they are not able to approach. We have a duty to protect our homes, protect our citizens and villages. In some parts we can't penetrate because the mountains are thick and there's no way we can get near fire”, Muharremaj said.

According to him, the situation is under control but has enormous damage to agriculture and the tree. However, he says there is still no possibility of assessing how many hectares have been burned and having a damage analysis. Muharremaj tells what the most difficult places in which the fire was extinguished.

The situation in Bukosh and Vraniq, Krusica, exceeded Monday. We've had in the upper part, on the Gjinoc-Dubrave road. It is impossible to cope with such a situation now located in the Suhareka municipality”, he says.

Furthermore, Muharremaj indicates that they have made decisions to stimulate firefighters by 50 euros more and employ four workers.

I made a decision to stimulate staff and firemen for three months, 50 euros more. I also made the decision to take 3-4 more workers, since we have very small numbers of firemen, we currently have 12 to distribute from three is impossible under regulation and law”, Muharmaj says.

He adds that there are eight locations which are involved in the fire, but the trigger is still unknown.
