50 cases of sexual assault have been recorded within the year, have cases or reports increased

Recent reports of rape cases have increased.

Adelina Berisha from the Kosovo Women's Network says there is an increase in awareness of women and girls.

We can say that what's happening recently has to do with increasing the faith of their wives and daughters first, then with institutions for reporting these forms of violence. I think there is no increase in violence, but increased case reporting”, said for RTV Dukagjin, Adelaina Berisha.

The security field recogniser is criticising state institutions, as these are reportedly reacting only after reports of cases of sexual violence.

Subsequently, institutions have reacted when sexual violence has turned into tragedy. Institutions consider these cases to be the constant normal”, Drizan Shala said.

So far, over 50 rapes have been reported for this year, while 64 such cases have been reported in the following year.
