The cleaning action was joined by some 50 willing participants, residents of the village of Orlan, including the director of the village school.

Also, it's done cleaning inside the lake, where through the use of boats it's been enabled to complete cleaning. Some 400 garbage bags have been collected from the action, which have been removed from the spaces around Lake. The rule of Democracy in Kosovo in co-operation with the group of volunteers has consistently undertaken various activities that have contributed to conservation and maintenance of the environment, in particular Lake “Batlava”. Since it is one of the major Lakes in Kosovo, from which a large number of residents of the Republic of Kosovo are supplied with drinking water, many activities have also developed at the institutions responsible for the permanent maintenance of Lake Batlava. The SDK, encourage young people and all citizens to be active every time in such initiatives that influence the preservation and promotion of the clean environment, resulting in a healthy future”, says the report.
This activity is within the project “citizen and institutional objective of improving the situation for healthy environment”, which is financially supported by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
