20 People Arrested for Kosovo Fires

Kosovo police have announced that from June 10th to 10 August, 109 cases of arson have been recorded, 71 cases “cause of general risk and 95 cases <x1ocincides fire”.
These cases, according to the police, have caused danger to the lives of citizens, but also property in general, such as private and state.
Regarding the above cases filed by Kosovo Police to initiate criminal proceedings, 41 suspected persons have been identified, as well as the arrest of 20 suspected persons involved.
During this period we thank citizens and other institutions for the co-operation and assistance provided in the function of quick identification of fire incidents, prevention of other cases of general risk, and distribution of information concerning awareness of the potential risk that could come from the reckless actions of some. Kosovo police are taking and will take continued legal measures on all those individuals who, in one form or another, risk the lives or property of citizens, either deliberately or through the negligence displayed in any form”, are said to be further in the statement.
