(5 years ago)Police in Albania in a media statement have announced today that 15 persons have been put in handcuffs from July 25th to August 10th. It is also suggested that 16 others have been prosecuted, while 2 have been declared on the run. Police are explaining that the work is continuing and that [...] their identity is being identified.
Police clarify that work is continuing and for the identification of other cases of intentional arson and urge everyone not to commit this criminal activity.
According to police, all those who deliberately or carelessly light fires and cause major consequences will face the force of the law.

Under the Mass Plan drafted by the General Directorate of State Police “for taking measures aimed at coping with situations that could be created as a result of fires in the forest and pasture fund during the 2021<x1 summer season, police structures across the country are fully committed to preventing fires, identifying and arresting people who set fires on their land, as well as on forest and corner areas.
In assessment of the situation created by the fires, from July 25th to August 10th, 2021, as a result of the investigative work done by local Police Directorate structures across the country have been arrested 15 people, 16 people have prosecuted and 2 persons have been declared in search, namely:
Seven people have been arrested by DVP Vlora after burning various ground areas in the village of Trajas, in the village of Gjerm, in Karaburun, Delisuf, Radima and Saranda, while 1 citizens have been declared on the run after burning two surfaces of olives in the village of Gjorm. Two citizens were prosecuted in Himara after burning forested areas in the village of Pilur and in the village of Fterr.
Of the DVP Fier have arrested 4 citizens and prosecuted in free state 3 other citizens, namely 2 citizens have been arrested for the fire put in the village forest of Gjorgoz and in the forest of Kreshpan village, 1 citizen has been arrested a citizen of fire caused on land in Liberation Farm, 1 citizen has been arrested for the fire caused in the Korrushh village forest, Mallkaster, 1 citizens have been prosecuted in a free state for the fire caused at Mttaros Ferko, and 2 other citizens have been prosecuted in a free state of Lousha for the village fires caused in the village.
DVP Kukes has arrested a citizen of fire on the Mountain of Life. The DVP Lezha has arrested 1 citizens in Mirdit, for burning the forest and a orchard area in the village of Simon, Mirdit, 2 citizens in Lezha have been prosecuted after burning an area of olives and the Maba village forest, Lezha, and 1 other citizens have been prosecuted in Kurbin for burning a pasture surface, olives and forest in the village of Rhejée, Kurbi.
Of DVP Durres, 1 citizen has been arrested and has prosecuted another after setting fires on the surface of the land in the district of No. 15, Durres, and the village of Shetaj, Ishme. DVP Korca has prosecuted 1 citizens for the arson, after burning a forest area of 3 dozen in the village of Bacaq, Pogradec. By DVP Elbasan has been arrested 1 citizen, 1 has been prosecuted, as well as 1 has been declared on the run, namely: 1 citizen was arrested in Belsh after burning an olive surface in the village of Wishin, Belch, 1 has been prosecuted in a free condition after he burned an olive surface in the village of Gradish, Belsh and 1 other citizens has been declared on the run after he burned land with various plants in the village of Jash, Librzhd.
Five people for firemen have been prosecuted by DVP Gjirokastra, 1 citizens for burning a field of vineyards in the village of Valare, 3 citizens for forest burning in men, Qesorat, Arshi Lego in Gjirokastra, and 1 citizens prosecuted for fire at Dropul (Llovina). Throughout the country, police structures are on the ground co-operating with citizens, local governments, civil emergencies and law enforcement agencies, to enable identification, capture and arrest of firemakers in forests and pastures.
State police appeal to all residents, and in particular to those who use sea surfaces, who in no case cause fire, as they face the law. State police are determined to bring to justice all those who deliberately or carelessly burn the forests, the pasture surfaces, or private property. Police invite citizens to sue 112 and Digital Commissioner, any case of arson or lawlessness as a whole, guaranteeing anonymity and swift and impartial response from police structures. /tvclean
