August 31st is the deadline for full withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan.
According to Taylor, the total number of people who have been evacuated from Afghanistan so far as part of the evacuation mission is 111,000.
He has said that even 5,400 people are still waiting at Kabul Airport to leave Afghanistan.
Two bomb attacks and firearms outside Kabul's airport were carried out during Thursday, resulting in at least 100 deaths.
Among those killed are reportedly about 90 Afghans and 13 members of American military service.
The responsibility for the attack has been taken over by the Islamic State group.
The Pentagon, meanwhile, has declared that IS attacks will not stop the US from conducting evacuations until the last day they must leave.
