According to INSTAT data, by the end of July, over 2.8 million foreign visitors are introduced in Albania, approaching 2019 levels, Klankosova.tv.
The biggest bubble, writes Top Channel, was marked in July with over 1.1 million incoming visitors, nearly 3 times higher than July of last year when anti-Convid measures imposed restrictions on the movements.
The main weight has kept tourism patriotic even this tourist season as visitors from Kosovo reached over 1.3 million at the end of July, having exceeded the 2019 figures.
In addition, the impact on the success of the season has also given citizens from Northern Macedonia who have seen a significant increase in 336.5 thousand visitors, while this summer has restored the Poles, causing more than 56 thousand tourists from Poland to come to the country for the 7-month, who left the previous year as a result of restrictive measures.
What is noted by INSTAT's data is a strong increase in the number of transitary travelers using Albania as a crossing point of 95.8 thousand total, while business purposes have seen a decline in the report a year ago.
But, facilitating anti-Condavid measures and allowing across borders has also caused Albanians to flock abroad for holidays. According to INSTAT, this year's 7-month number of Albanian citizens abroad reached 2.1 million, about 34% more than a year ago.
Despite the positive performance of the INSTAT figures, tourism still appears to be far from complete recovery and hard to reach gold levels of the year, 1919 with 6.4 million foreign visitors/ TCH.
