Today Kosovo journalists have held elections for AGK chairman and board members.
Journalist Xhemajl Rexha of Kanal 10, has won the competition against RTK's Arton Muliqi.
Also, Kosovo media journalists have voted for the new AGK board. However, the results for board members have not yet been announced.
Likewise, journalists today have voted for the completion-changing of several AGK statute provisions. From today, candidates for AGK chairman or board members should present their candidacy at least three days before the elections.
The proposal was also approved that there be no more than two candidates from a medium, and that members of the board should vote from 1 to 5 candidates.
Candidates for members of the AGK board can propose themselves, or propose one of the journalists' colleagues.
By contrast, at the head of the AGK so far was Gentiana Begolli-Pustina, who was elected in August 2018.
The mandate of the AGK chairman and board is three years old.
