Vetevendosje MP Enver Dugolli says how MPs are sovereign in decisions they take and vote on their beliefs, as the US Embassy in Pristina today declared unilateral dismissals undermine public institutions.
Dugolli wrote on Facebook that Vetevendosje took on obligation after February 14th to fulfill citizens' expectations.
According to the status deputy, they vote on the basis of their arguments and beliefs.
We are aware that for some decisions, citizens have expected much faster actions, but we have been very careful with analysis and debate about each problem, leaving no room for haste. Failure to fulfill the duties and legal obligations of each individual, board or manager elected by the Republic Assembly will get the right answer because it is the duty of MPs. We are sovereign in decisions and vote on the basis of our arguments and beliefs”, Dugolli wrote.
The US Embassy in Pristina has reacted to yesterday's dismissal of RTK board members, and other boards, on the part of MPs from the majority of the Parliament, calling them insufficient excuses.
Through a Facebook post, the embassy has written that unilateral dismissals harm public institutions.
“Day, the Parliament dismissed members of another supervisory board with insufficient justification. While Kosovars deserve accountability, dismissals must be based on transparent evidence, as should be the appointments that should be based on merit. Single and hasty downloads harm public institutions and do not address structural problems. Effective long-term reforms require careful and methodological access, placing Kosovo's interest first party politics on the sidelines. ”, said in embassy posting.
