VV in Albania makes Albania's exit from the Balkans open

Vetevendosje in the Republic of Albania has made another sharp response to Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama after signing the Open Balkans Agreement with Serbia and Northern Macedonia. They have stated that this creates Albania's vassality towards Serbia, although they have not provided any evidence that proves such a thing. “From [...]

They have stated that this creates Albania's vassality towards Serbia, although they have not provided any evidence that proves such a thing.

“From projects such as Nova Sad's “, they gain import oligarchs, the Balkan mafia and Serbia. This project puts Albania under Serbia's economic and political domination, turns it away from national interests and increases in inequality and poverty.” VV has said, but without showing the data upon which Periscope supports this findings, Pryscope submits.

Furthermore, this party, which in Kosovo has power but in Albania is not represented by any single MP, has stated it aims to distance Albania from [like] “Zona of Novi Sad”.

Full status:

Against external vassality and within poverty

Internal Albania is mired in poverty and extreme inequality, the outside is placed under Serbia's armpit. These are the two dimensions of Rama's regime: in domestic politics work for oligarchs, in foreign policy works for Vucic. So strongly captured has Rama by Vucic, that he also humors Albania's prime minister, with bitter lines on the subject of Kosovo -- the place where the Vucic government committed genocide 20 years ago.

From projects such as “Nova SadiZa” wins import oligarchs, the Balkan mafia and Serbia. This project puts Albania under Serbia's economic and political domination, turns it away from national interests and increases inequality and poverty. Those who protect the Novi Sad office “” in Albania are politicians who have abandoned the nation and Europe. They aim to consolidate power by approaching Serbia. Meanwhile, Serbia is the only country in the region buying Chinese weapons, hosting Russian bases, and is part of the Moscow-based Eurasian Economic Union. Albania's approach to the Chinese-Russian sphere brings profit for few powers, along with their media satellites and economic tajkun, but not for Albania's citizens and manufacturing businesses, which become even poorer.

The UN's latest report on Albania testifies that nearly half of the population lives in poverty, or is threatened with poverty. Citizens are not getting out of poverty even when the economy grows on paper, because there is structured inequality in Albania.

This economy's income is focusing on oligarchia. The situation is as unfair as alarming. Albania is scurrying into misery these powermakers and voracious oligarchs, increasingly linked to Serbia. They want to copy the autocratic and oligarchic pattern that Vucic and Putin represent.

Internally, for nearly a decade, the Government of Albania has no longer measured poverty or inequality, and is refusing to determine and implement the vital minimum by law.

Determining the vital minimum would have an immediate effect on the growth of the minimum wage, increasing minimum pensions, and increasing social assistance. It would be a relaxed but essential measure for easing the suffering of people living in poverty.

Increasing trade with Serbia increases profits for some big businessmen, but more increases poverty and inequality for the rest of us. Serbia dominates trade with Albania, with a amount exceeding 120m euros annually. The export-import report between Albania and Serbia is nearly 1 to 4 at the expense of Albania. Increasing trade volume with Serbia destroys even more Albanian production potential and employment. Serbia invests and subsidises its industry, technology and agriculture. In the Novi Sad area of “”, Albania only expands Serbia's market without earning anything.

Edi Rama is acting as the feudal ruler of Albania. In the middle of the summer, when parliament is on break, without any public consultation, without the approval of the Parliament and the citizens, without transparency, signed agreements with Serbia and Aleksandar Vucic. We remember that this is Serbia denying the genocides and crimes it committed against Albanians and other peoples of the region. This is Serbia of Milosevic's collaborators and political heirs, who still call it a great leader. This is the expansionist Serbia that has officially announced the project to expand the Serbian world in the region, while retaining the disappearance of 1600 people from the last war in Kosovo, and refuses to recognise the independence of the second Albanian republic. This Serbia could satisfy the appetites with projects such as Novi Sad's “Zona” only Albanian politicians who are caught by it.

Movement V SEENDSOJ! aims to get Albania out of Novi Sad's “Zona” and en route to national and European integration. Novi Sad's “Zona” is not supported by neither Kosovo nor Bosnia and Herzegovina nor Montenegro, which are directly threatened by Serbia's aggressive policies. Novi Sad's “Zona” has nothing to do with the Berlin Process!

On the other hand, as the assistant measure to the population increase in poverty, we seek legal determination and implementation of the vital minimum in Albania as a policy against poverty.

Edi Rama has eliminated citizens from decision-making on these vital issues for the country. We engage in decision-making returns to citizens. As a first step, we will start working to prepare two civic petitions legally, to get Albania out of the “Zona of Novi Sad” and to define and implement the vital minimum as the immune measure against further poverty of Albanians.

We say no to Serbia's mini-sengen, and we seek the appointment of the vital minimum for Albania. We seek development and integration, national and European!
