Kevo, in Lapland, recorded the heat of 33.6 degrees Sunday, or the hottest day since 1914 when it was 34.7 degrees, writes Guardian, follows Periscope.
High temperatures follow record heat and fires caused in certain parts of North America.
The angry intensive killed 95 people only in the American state of Oregon, its governor said on Sunday. Hundreds of people are believed to have died in the northwest of the United States and southwest of Canada.
Experts and officials fear that catastrophic conditions, driven by the climate crisis, will only deteriorate over the coming months.
