Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has met Serbia's president for the second time, Aleksandar Vuciq, within the process of normalising relations between the two countries.
The meeting in Brussels is being held under the European Union's mediation. Before the meeting begins, EU Foreign Policy and Security chief Josep Borrell has said he hopes this meeting will not be like the one in June, which did not produce any results.
As in the first meeting, Borrell, along with EU envoy for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak is mediating the second meeting between Kurti and Vucinqi.
Ahead of the trilateral meeting, the parties have held separate meetings with EU special envoy for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue Miroslav Lajcak.
This morning's “I held separate meetings with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, to prepare the high level of dialogue meeting that is held this afternoon”, Lajcak wrote on Twitter.
European Union officials have repeatedly reminded the parties that this process is important even for the European perspective of both countries, while the US has told them to find a compromise.
