The prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has held a series of meetings with regional leaders and senior representatives from Europe and the US.
It during the Prespa Forum has provided a proposal on how the Western Balkan region can advance towards the European Union through a new agreement and relationship, such as Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.
“Baptism with the past is important for peace and reconciliation in the Balkans”, he has declared.
“During the day, together with Deputy Prime Minister of Foreign Affairs Donika Grovalla, Prime Minister Kurti met with US Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia, Mr. Philip Reeker and the US Special Representative for the Western Balkans, Mr. Matthew Palmer”, announce the Prime Minister's Office.
“Prime Minister Kurti and Minister Gervala have also met with the European Union's special envoy for dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Miroslav Lajcak, with whom they have discussed the June 15th meeting in Brussels and the launch of the new dialogue process. Likewise, Prime Minister Kurti held a joint meeting with Albania's prime minister, Mr. Edi Rama, chairman of the Democratic Union for Integration, Mr. Ali Ahmeti as well as DUI deputy chairman Teuta Arifi”.
