Kurti said that during his two-day visit there he met with French Culture Minister as well as world art personalities.
“Within the two-day visit to Canes I met Jerome Pallard, director of Marche dú Film of Cannes, the world's largest film market; Stefan Laudyn, Director of the International Warsaw Festival; Nikolay Nikitti, director of SOFA school for the promotion of the film; Katrina Schorry, Israel Film Fund, and Helge Albers, of the Hamburg Film Fund. I thanked them for supporting the film and artists from Kosovo, as well as discussing the possibilities for adding” co-operation, Kurti wrote on Facebook.
The prime minister went to France after staying in Greece for about two weeks. He was criticised for staying abroad at a time when about 1,000 and 500 people in Decani in Kosovo sought medical assistance by displaying symptoms of poisoning, allegedly coming from the drinking water.
Total Kurt Posting:
Kosovo has become an international force in cinematography. We did not meet any art and culture personalities that he did not know about Kosovo. Samir Karahoda and Luàna Bajrami were side by side in Cannes with the most prominent artists who came here from around the globe. Of the many thousands of films this Festival selected about a dozen of soybeans for each category. The vast majority of world lands did not qualify. And Kosovo had two films that appeared and competed. The importance of art and our values is being combined with the awareness and senses of millions of foreign viewers and thousands of famous artists.
Within the two-day visit to Cannes, I met Jerome Pallard, director of Marcel dú Film of Cannes, the world's largest film market; Stefan Laudyn, Director of the International Warsaw Festival; Nikolay Nikitti, director of SOFA school for the promotion of the film; Katrina Schorry, Israel Film Fund, and Helge Albers, of the Hamburg Film Fund. I thanked them for supporting the film and artists from Kosovo, as well as discussing the possibilities for increased co-operation.
I also met French Culture Minister Mrs. Rosalynn Bachelot, with whom we talked about advancing joint film production and the mayor of Canne, Mr. David Lisnard. And finally, it was a pleasure to meet the chairman of Jury this year, director Spip Lee, and Italian director Paolo Sorentino.
The government that leads him will be close to our artists and will support them as never before.
