Through prefixes for reviewing the detention measure to the court, while the Specialised Prosecutor's Office (ZPS) has requested continued detention for Salih Mustaf until the defence demanded his release from this measure.
According to the SPS, there is suspicion that the accused committed crimes within the jurisdiction of Kosovo's Specialised Chambers in The Hague, the danger of escape, intervention in witnesses and victims, as well as the danger the accused could commit crimes.
Meanwhile, protection with its parachute has rejected all SPS superiors, as well as demanding that Mustafa be released from custody, and, according to them, if the tribunal deems it necessary could set any conditions of release, which it deems necessary and appropriate, broadcast the Votimy for Justice.
The judgment on Salih Mustafa is expected to begin on September 15th, 2021.
Otherwise, October 28th, former superior of The KLA, Salih Mustafa, has been declared innocent of the four charges brought against him by the Special.
On September 28th, Salih Mustafa had refused to plead on charges related to war crimes in Kosovo.
Mustafa is the first arrested by the Special.
On June 12, 2020, the indictment was confirmed against him, while his arrest took place on 24 September, where the same day he was transferred to the detention facility in The Hague. On September 24, the indictment of Mustaf had also been made public.
The confirmed “Acuza stipulates that approximately between April 1st 1999 and April 19, 1999, at a detention complex in Zlatko, Kosovo, arbitrary crimes, cruel treatment and torture against at least six people were committed. Also, the indictment says that on a date between April 19, 1999, or about this date, and about the end of April 1999, a detainee” was killed at that location, the Special Court announced through a communiqué.
It becomes known that in the confirmed indictment, Salih Mustafa is charged in the context of various forms of criminal responsibility -- for arbitrary bans, cruel treatment, torture and unlawful murder as war crimes committed in the context of the non-international armed conflict in Kosovo, or in connection with that conflict.
