In December 2020 the Radiology Clinic was supplied with some imaging equipment under a World Bank-based Health Ministry project. In this project there was a digital core that was placed in the CT room under the Emergency Clinic, Schneta writes.
But this device was never worked out by Radiology Clinic. Initially reasoning that the use of equipment was not urgent, and then because of lack of a USB with software components. Actually, the USB had disappeared and had not been reported in time by Radiology management.
Although the USB has disappeared for months, this information was transmitted to the USKKUK management last week. The paper has found out that management has notified the Kosovo Police, which started investigations after allegedly USB was stolen. This information device is worth about 6 thousand euros.
The paper has asked for clarification by Radiology Clinic Director Bujar Gjikoli, as well as the USKKUK management for measures to be taken in this case, but neither side has returned.
The Health Ministry has also been notified of this situation as project host. The MSH has declared to Gazeta that the Project Implementation Co-ordination Unit had paid a visit on 22 June and 23 June of this year, where it was announced that the device was not operational with the argument that there was no emergency and that the device lacks USB.
The unit has sent the report to the World Bank and she has requested from MS, to confirm if the information about not using the device is still valid and, if so, let me do relocation and equipment at another health institution where it needs it. On the same day (July 12th 2021), the secretary has asked the USKKKUK management to address the issue and announce with an action plan addressing shortcomings from the Monitoring report”.
The question is addressed to the SHSKUK-Klinky of Radiology about the lack of USB with the software component, because according to the contract manager when testing equipment in December 2020, the device couldn't be tested without it. The management of SHSKUK and Radiology has called for the appropriate steps to resolve the issue in question by ensuring that the case is resolved. The USB with software components, which allows the device to operate”, says the answer to the MSH.
Within this project KKUK and Pec Hospital have been supplied with four digital XPS, patient monitor, and mobile sperm.
