An exile who came from Switzerland to Kosovo has been caught through Serbia by 50 thousand francs, which he had hidden in his interior.
The event took place Sunday at the Batrovci crossing.
Media in Serbia report he was driving a “Maserati”, in which two men of Kosovo's citizenship were travelling.
According to media there when asked if they have anything to report to customs control, both the driver and the fellow traveler said they carry only personal luggage with them.
As far as cash is concerned, the two claimed to have the allowed amount, driver 10,000 and co-director 4,000 francs.
However, during a detailed search, 52,800 Swiss francs and 2,330 euros were found in the passenger's interior.
After the return of the passenger, which corresponds to the equivalent of 10,000 euros, 43700 francs will be held until the end of the counter-injury procedure before the competent court.
The “Original of money that is illegally transferred across the border is questionable, and experts in this field claim they are most often used for further financing of criminal activities and terrorism. What our citizens need to know is that all the money from foreign currency violations flows directly to the state budget (when the needs of various budget users are financed: children, pensioners, even employees in the public sector, as well as construction of schools, hospitals and roads)”, media write in Serbia.
