Unlike the last election, when the CEC had decided to call all applicants to verify, through new direction, the verification has undergone some changes. The administrative leadership, adopted during the February 14th early elections, has been abolished by the CEC.
The CEC will verify 2% of applicants approved with the random selection method. The CEC will also verify cases when the same number of calls are used in more than one app with different surnames or in cases when an electronic address uses in more than one app with different surnames.
All these cases, the CEC will verify through phone calls.
“If the applicant does not open the phone in the first call, two more attempts will be made at different times within the record application period”, the CEC's directive says.
But according to this directive, the CEC will report cases of abuse to the State Prosecutor.
“A key activity is the operation of voting through mail that will start from July 10th, so the registration period abroad”, CEC Secretariat Chief Executive Chief Burim Ahmetaj said.
Ylli Buleskaj, director of the Office for Registering Political Partys and Certificates, has announced they have observed the PDK's 3 July Convention and have not faced any violations.
“Ven to note that we have observed the Convention on the election of the PDK chairman and that we have not noticed anything contrary to the law regulating this area. We have not had any subject that will not participate in these elections and we have only a pre-election coalition”.
While LDK representative Florian Dashi said verification is not necessary in all categories.
“Versification is not necessary in all cases but only in certain categories as suspicious. Only 2 per cent will be selected by chance for verification, so we demand abolishing the decision to sequentialise the census for the period of voter registration abroad”.
VV representative Sami Kurteshi has requested the introduction of an article allowing online application of applicants abroad.
