Researchers have claimed that this marks a possible explosion of nuclear capacity in this country.
They have warned that this means an alarming “development” but also called for it not to be thought of in the form of the worst possible “skenar”, citing tensions among the biggest nuclear powers in the matter, reports Guardian.
The investigation, first published in The Washington Post, identified the construction of at least 119 nuclear weapons launch facilities in the Gansu province desert.
We believe that China is increasing its nuclear power to ensure that it can survive a first attack by the United States on enough numbers to defeat the American missile defence later, Jeffrey Lewis, an American nuclear expert, said.
China is believed to have more than 350 nuclear heads, or 30 more than in 2020, but less than the US or Russia.
