RGK after Periscop research: Violence against girls is repeating, institutions are silent

Kosovo Women Network ( S. The GK has accepted the news published today after research by Periscopi on the multiple rape and mistreatment of a 13-year-old in Janjevo. However, children and women are the most vulnerable to gender-based violence, and that serious cases [...] have recently been made public.
However children and women are the most affected groups by gender-based violence, and that serious cases of rape against girls have recently been made public, we are witnessing institutional silence and the not serious treatment of these cases by justice”, said in response.
Periscope published during the day. The terrifying images of the 13-year-old woman who was allegedly the victim of multiple rape in Janjevo.
The point is that RGK, through this reaction, repeats for the previous time that such cases should serve as an additional wake-up point and reasons for these crimes against girls and women to be dealt with prioritized, and for the perpetrators to be punished without compromise, Periscope broadcasts.
It's a burden to each of us that girls in our society experience these violations, in front of our eyes, and institutions in most cases give low sentences and do not prevent those crimes. This case, it tells us about a chain of neglect of the culprits -- there should be criminal action taken even for those who have driven her out of the house and others who haven't helped this girl and haven't called the police”.
Through this statement, RGK expresses deep indignation at this occasion, at once pledging that we will raise our voice to seek righteousness, as does any other girl and woman who were violated and killed.
Also, RGK is asking the media to take increased care of the case reporting, having to deal with a minor girl. The victim's identity should be protected in any report, and at any cost -- only the media will play the role they have to play in fighting violence against women and girls in Kosovo.
RGK says it will not stop until violence against girls and women is treated not only as daily news or as private matters.
PERISCOP has not published initials or any other identifying element that could hurt the victim.
