Northern Macedonia Prime Minister Zoran Zaev will meet with counterpart from Albania Edi Rama and Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic in Skopje under the Economic Forum for Regional Co-operation.
Over 300 companies from all three countries, but other countries in the region are participating.
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama suggested that the new name of the initiative, which we so far recognise as the minister, will be changed, but has been contested by Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who has not attended any meeting.
Bosnia and Montenegro have also been skeptical about that name, as several times they joined previous tables.
There are several decisions, agreements to sign, there is also an Economic Forum with the business community and we continue working”, Rama has said.
He has shown why his name will be changed.
The Regional Schengen is just the framework of a formula that is the EU formula, so the framework of four EU freedoms, the free movement of people, goods, services and capital. Since many have taken this name and are supposed to have a different name just as we started, I think who will be caught by the name, will be caught again by the name, it's not like it's going to be solved from this side”, he said.
Even the Serbian president has talked about changing the name of this regional initiative.
Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, says the new name of the regional initiative, which so far was known as “Mini-Shengen”, will be announced today.
“Tomorrow you will learn the real name of this initiative and what will be called in the future,” told reporters yesterday after arriving on a two-day visit to Skopje, where he will meet with Edi Rama and Zoran Zaev as part of the initiative called Mini-Shengen
