About half the citizens of the Pristina municipality have passed COVID-19, while 48 percent of the medical staff have been infected with this pandemic. Less affected by coronarys have been the administrative workers of the Pristina municipality. So say the two researchs from this municipality about SARS-COV-2 seroprevalence.

Pristina Mayor Shpend Ahmeti said that according to research conducted, about 47% of the Kostinians have surpassed COVID-19.

He said he has not believed that figure would result, while stressing that in the low number of positive cases in Pristina, even this high percentage of people affected by coronarys have been affected.

It turns out that about 47 percent in the Pristina municipality have come up positive with COVID, that's in some ways, as we've accepted it, whether it's due to the serological test that citizens have made, that is, by taking blood and finding antibodies in the blood, and also with some citizens who have already had COVID and the PCR tests from the Institute that have proved positive have said they don't need to do the serological test because they were positive. Of the many discussions we've had we thought this figure couldn't be 30 percent and we've had it as an internal discussion discussing and MS because it's going to be too high to be that much, however, from this research it turns out that almost half of Pristina citizens already had the COVID-19 virus. ... When we look at COVID numbers in Pristina, it actually turns out that the numbers are down that we no longer have, and this wave of pandemic is over and definitely one of the main reasons why we don't have such large numbers because we are an enormous percentage of those who have passed COVID”, Ahmeti said.

According to Ahmeti about 48 % of primary health professionals in this municipality have surpassed COVID-19.

Pristina's leader said less affected are the workers of this municipality with a percentage of 21 %.

“As far as health workers are concerned, we have found that 17 %s are positive serological, so we have one of the following 11 %s of the two types of antibodies about 39% have confirmed that they are positive by test PCR, so 48 % of total health workers are either on positive serial test or on PCR, so it doesn't differ much from the percentage of citizens and why this research with health workers was done in October-December last year. So October-30th was 48 % now we have in the entire population 47% which means that health workers have had a higher percentage of the transition with COVIED... That may have been all those measures because they were also fired for a time of“, he said.

Despite these results, Ahmeti says vaccine against COVID-19 is necessary.

He said studies samples have been 1255 Kosovo capital citizens.

It turns out that about 50 percent have passed COVID-19. The total age of research is 1255 citizens usually when polls are made, and the measure of error is enough about 2.8 percent that gives us enough conviction that this number is correct“, Ahmeti said.
