Pristina municipality secured insulin for five months, that's all it cost.

Many citizens of Pristina who are suffering from diabetes today have mastered the drug ward of the Center for Family Medicine, which has already been supplied with 400,000 doses of insulin that have been missing for months now. From these 400,000 doses until 1500 p.m., about 1,270 [...]
Of these 400,000 doses until 1500 hours were distributed about 1,270 insulin syringes for which citizens were forced to buy at private pharmacies, but also outside Kosovo.
Pristina Health Director Bujar Gashi said that thanks to a municipality's personal contract, which amounts to around 200 thousand euros, have managed to supply insulin.
He said funds for the contract have been provided by the Fund for emergency situations, while the entire contingent cost the municipality less than 200,000 euros.
“Today we've been supplied with about 400,000 insulin syringes, and now there are two types of insulin, medium-acted and fast-acted ones. Most are rapidly medium-sized because consumption is such that citizens need them more, their monthly basis number is about 5 thousand 500 to 6 000”, he said.
Gashi added that, “These have been received since today, costing the Pristina municipality slightly less than 200,000 euros. The funds that we've allocated that we've had funding for emergency situations in case of such or similar needs”.
Gashi also said that “Arsid of the numerous demands of 4-5 months of citizens and their inability to provide insulin in the private sector, of these two insulins, has led us to take this decision and to slightly cover this necessary need”, Gashi said.
Gashi has shown that with these doses of insulin they have already secured, the supply for insulinists is possible for five months.
He said these insulins would be distributed only to the residents of the capital.
“One type if not wrong is five months, while the other type is for the last 3 months. We've had some quick action insulin reserves with which we've covered their 2-3-month supply, now normally that we've taken these with our funds and I hope that for the next five months we'll have enough, until the pharmaceutical department's gone. MS will ensure that these types of insulin are returned to the essentials list,”, Gashi said.
The purchase of this insulin container has enjoyed many diabetes patients who, in the inability to supply from the KKMF main baratator, have been forced to provide themselves.
It has been 30 years of diabetes, but now many months and months he has been forced to buy the insulin he so desperately needs. Isuf Rexaj says he's got eight syringes today that he's got for a month.
I got as much as I need 8 pieces, I have diabetes that I need 30 years more than... I bought it in Kukes. I went and I got it. I had a little bit of too much of the previous months of Kukes. 37 has cost five pieces... These are for a month... This is this Minister's total failure. Fortunately, Shpend in his eight years has made a positive job as mayor of the municipality that I can assess”, he said.
Ejup Murati was also supplied with sufficient doses for a month with insulin. He says that without insulin in the pharmaceutical public sector, his son was forced to send from Germany.
I got 12 and 24 making 36. I don't have a month. We bought where we could for over 10 euros less than 10 euros I couldn't find. I was sent from Germany by the bus boy”, he said.
Now two months was not supplied with the insulin or Sahit Shala, who says he has barely managed to obtain the necessary doses.
We haven't taken them for two months now. Good to see you. We've had few reserves, and we've bought a little bit of it, and we've been past”, he said.
