President Osmane travels to Japan, unknown to go to the First Lord

The president of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has travelled to Japan, where many other world leaders will be present at the opening of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. It will also, over the next few days, hold a series of bilateral meetings with representatives of the Japanese state. Kosovo will be represented by 11 athletes at the Tokyo Olympics, meanwhile, President Osmani will support them closely.

In the media communiqué from the president's office it is said that “has praised Kosovo athletes, wishing that each of them triumph in the respective sports disciplines”.

While in Tokyo, President Osmani, together with other world leaders, will be hosted by Emperor Naruhio. While within the framework of bilateral meetings, Ms. Osmani will hold meetings with Japan's prime minister, Yoshihidhe Soga, Foreign Minister Toshimsu Motegi, with representatives of economic and trade organisations, as well as other state representatives.
