The ProCredit Bank, in co-operation with the EURZH GEFF (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development), has launched Eko Credit for private clients implementing measures for energy efficiency at home, thus allowing them to benefit as much as 20% of the credit.
A family in Kosovo spends an average of 50% of annual energy costs on heating and cooling.
Investment in household energy efficiency products or housing reduces unnecessary energy consumption, resulting in direct financial savings.
Besides saving energy and money, energy efficiency products improve the standard of life and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, such as CO2.
To care for our home and our planet, The ProCredit Bank, in co-operation with the EURZH, has launched Eko Credit for private customers who implement energy efficiency measures.
The activities supported by Echo Credit are:
- Windows, doors, glass
- Outdoor Isolation
- The Isolation of the Roof
- Land Isolation
- Isolation of Separating Walls
- Biospecies storm/caf
- High Efficiency Light
- Solar Water Warming
- Calda/bojler Efficient Gas
- Heat pumps (with electricity or gas)
- Photovoltaic systems integrated into construction
- Mechanical ventilation balanced with heat recovery
- Warm water tanks
Clients applying for the Eko Credit have the opportunity to benefit grants by 20% of the loan amount after meeting the preset conditions for construction and renovations that increase energy efficiency are how they are defined by the EURZH through the Center for Green Economic Financing Programme (GEFF).
To estimate roughly the savings coming from the installation of energy efficiency technologies, the GEFF program has developed one Energy Savings Calculator which is online. Families can easily calculate savings they can achieve if they invest in different technologies, depending on the source of energy they use.
The GEFF programme also has created an online catalog of energy efficiency products Technology Sector which represents all products that are at least 20% above standards, when it comes to energy efficiency.
