Democratic Party of Kosovo deputy (PDK) Blerta Deliu Kodra has asked President Vjosa Osmani to appoint the second PDK member to the Central Election Commission (KQZ), following the Constitutional Court's decision.
At the Parliament's plenary session, Deliu said the country's first should not serve the Vetevendosje Movement and that any other decision, outside the appointment of a second member of the PDK in the CEC, is an attack on the country's constitutional right.
I call on President Vjosa Osmani to appoint the second PDK representative to the CEC. Kosovo's president and prime minister must end the tendency to control the composition of the CEC. The constitution is clear, The PDK belongs to the second representative in the CEC, the president must appoint the second member of the PDK to the institution and terminate the LVV's attempt to create overwhelming majority in this institution. The CEC is not an institution for decision-making to dominate a political party, but members of the CEC are appointed to take care of implementing the Election Law”, she said..
