Dendias has written that the EU and the US have close co-ordination for the European perspective of the Balkans.
“Assistant Secretary of State and US Special Representative for the Balkans Matthew Palmer at today's Dubrovnik Forum. The European Union and the United States of America have close co-ordination to address challenges in the region, the European perspective of the Western Balkans and developments in the eastern Mediterranean”, Dendias wrote.

“Zjarre” was sparked after a vague statement by Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias about Kosovo, which stated Greece's position on Kosovo status has not changed, but added that Kosovo's declaration of independence does not violate international law.
“Although our position on Kosovo's status has not changed, we maintain a constructive attitude and support the Belgrade-based dialogue Pristina. As the legitimacy of a possible recognition, the International Court of Justice in The Hague estimated in 2010 it did not violate international law, because it was not the product of the illegal use of force condemned by the Security Council, as was the case of a cydu-state (of Northern Cyprus) in 1983”, the Greek chief diplomat has declared.
