Osmani talks with Israeli president, agrees on meeting bilateral visits

Republic of Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has held a telephone conversation with Israeli State President Isaac Herzeg today. She has congratulated President Herzeg on accepting office and expressed the willingness of the Republic of Kosovo to deepen co-operation with Israel in the field of politics, trade, education, energy and defence. Republic of Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has held a telephone conversation with Israeli State President Isaac Herzeg today. She has congratulated President Herzeg on accepting office and expressed the willingness of the Republic of Kosovo to deepen co-operation with Israel in the field of politics, trade, education, energy and defence.

On the other hand, President Herzeg expressed thanks for establishing diplomatic relations between the two states and offered his support for deepening bilateral reports.

Furthermore, in this telephone conversation, President Osmani confirmed that Kosovo's report with Israel is early and dates from the World War II period when Albanians in Kosovo defended Jews, while President Herzeg underlined Israel's support for Albanian refugees from the war in Kosovo.

President Osmani and President Herzeg agreed to communicate further and to implement respective visits to Kosovo and Israel.
