Stoltenberg, during his visit to KFOR, has said that the fact that there are 27 nations serving in this force shows NATO's commitment to peace in Kosovo and the region.
The fact that we are so many nations here from NATO's Allied states, but even from some partner nations, shows the strength of our mission. This demonstrates the commitment of many nations to stability and peace in Kosovo and in this region”, NATO Secretary General said.
He added that KFOR mission is important not only for Kosovo and the region, but also for NATO and all NATO allies. We have seen throughout history that stability in this region matters to all of us. It matters to Europe, it matters to NATO”, he added.
In the communiqué sent by NATO, it has avoided mentioning the positions of Kosovo president and prime minister. They've only been introduced by names.
“During his visit, Secretary General Stoltenberg also held bilateral meetings with Mrs. Vjosa Osmanin, Mr. Albin Kurti and Mr. Goran Rakiq. He reiterated KFOR's continued efforts for the benefit of all communities living in Kosovo and NATO's steadfast support for the EU facilitated dialogue and other efforts aimed at normalising relations between Belgrade and Pristina”, the communiqué reported.
