In this work, which was published on the very day that the Crenare's Parade” presented are two characters dressed in traditional Albanian dress ʹ urqi and plis ré while their companion, as well as traditional, is in the colors of the community LGBTQI +.
Artist Murati has shown why she has performed such a painting that connects traditional dress to LGBTQI+.
She says love of the same gender existed even earlier in Kosovo, even saying there are folk songs that were sung by the Rapods.
Various “Facts and its treatment in folk songs by the Rapods show us that this love existed even in the past of our country only that, as of today, it has been oppressed by others and shut up in itself from them. This pressure is not inevitable today. It's the same only because it's now called HOMOFOBIA. In a modern society, even the term homophobic should not exist, let alone the phenomenon”.
Murati has declared that “just knowing and accepting our past, we can do it before”.
Therefore, homophobic as a phenomenon must disappear and build a tolerant society that recognizes the beliefs of others without stigmatisation and prejudice, a society that does not harbor hatred against others”.
It has accomplished this work in co-operation with the non-governmental organisation “Center for Equality an Liberty” (CEL), which it says aims at presenting the values of Kosovo society.
The Krenaria Month serves as the starting point for this social change. Everyone has the right to live as he wishes, so let us understand that. To a more tolerant society! ” wrote Murati on the social Facebook network.
The painting is made in cloth and is in version 3mx1.60m.
