At least 196 people have died from heavy rain that fell in western Germany, eastern Belgium and the Netherlands in recent days, the AP reports, broadcast Klankosova.tv.
They included 117 confirmed deaths in the worst affected German region, Rheinland-Pfalz, while 47 died in Nordrhein-Westfalen and at least one in Bavari.
The death toll in Belgium was 31.
Authorities said they were likely to find more victims among the destroyed houses while continuing an operation to attract victims, Klankosova broadcast.tv.
