A ship with 45 migrants aboard the board has sunk in the southeastern Aegean Sea, Turkey's Defence Ministry has declared.
According to this ministry, the ship had faced several problems, about 100km south of the Greek island of Carpatho during Friday, where thirty-seven immigrants mainly from Syria and Iraq were rescued and some are still missing.
In rescue efforts, Turkey has said it has engaged two ships and a sea patrol aircraft.
Meanwhile, a 2016 migration agreement between Turkey and the EU has helped prevent the influx of refugees, but many still try to reach Greek islands via dangerous roads, Euronews reports, Klankosova.tv broadcasts.
