The body of the unfortunate girl, who was also a nurse at the University Hospital of Nantes, was found today in a valley about five miles [5 km] from Elaphonis. The place where the lifeless body was found is near Krios Beach, where the car that 29-year-old rented was found.
Kandanos-Selino Mayor Antonis Perrakis spoke of protothema.gr and said that: “unfortunately, the unfortunate girl was found dead in a streams, about 5km from where her car was found, very close to the beginning of the path.
Most likely, the girl slipped and fell, but all of this will be learned by the medical expert later”.
The 29-year-old Frenchman arrived in Chania on June 21st alone in order to enjoy a short break. She rented a car and went to a hotel in Paleochora, where she had reserved her stay. Then she began walking in the area to enjoy the scenery.
The 29-year-old was present on social networks, taking photos and videos from her field trips. At the same time, she had contact with her family. But that was until June 23, as the following day it would lose track. Her family tried to contact her, but without results.
The new one had planned to leave for France on June 28th, but never went to the hotel to pick up things.
