Kurti has thanked Croatia's prime minister, Andrej Plenkovic and the hospital medical staff that have treated those injured in the accident. He has also expressed comfort for the family members of those who lost their lives in the accident.

Good evening. First I want to express our condolences to all the families and friends of those 10 passengers who died in this terrible accident today. I also heal you quickly and completely of all those who are severely hurt, and this is a very grievous day with pain and sorrow for all our people. In this case, I want to thank Croatia's Prime Minister Andrej Plenkov for excellent co-operation, rapid assistance, emergency response and treatment of patients here at the hospital, but also other travelers who are in the safe hands of doctors and psychologists. Here I visited all patients in hospital rooms, including those in intensive care, and I also thank the hospital management and health professionals for the care shown and excellent service. I'm here with the three ministers of our government. To be near these travelers who were fortunate in this misfortune. Hundreds of thousands of citizens of our country return during the summer for holidays in our homeland, and our economy and prosperity depend on them. This calamity is too heavy for us. Thanks to solidarity here together, we'll get there easier, so once more comfort to the family and thank Prime Minister Plenkoviq”, he said.

Most were asleep when this tragic accident occurred. We need to focus on getting the hell over with. I wanted your best. To rest and sleep, I have told them they are in the safe hands of Croatian doctors and psychologists”, he added.
