Kurti will insist on his four points even at the next meeting with Vucinqi, being viewed as unrealistic by civil society.

Prime Minister Albin Kurti will insist on his four proposals, which he presented at the meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq in Brussels. However, the same are seen as unrealistic from civil society to move forward in the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue process. Meanwhile, despite not agreeing to the discussion agenda on July 25th, [...]
In the meantime, despite the lack of compliance with the debate agenda on July 25th, it has been reported for a lower-level meeting next days, but that the same has not been confirmed, either by the Kosovo government or by the European Union.
Vetevendosje Movement MP Victory Pacolli has said she expects the four proposals given at the first Serbia to take seriously and continue.
We have four proposals we have at the last meeting, we expect those proposals to take Serbia seriously and move on. These are our four proposals, which we will insist Serbia will accept. I don't know about this, I have no information, so you should ask the government”, she has declared Kosovo Press.
But this approach, it is not finding favour in the country, Emir Abrashi from Democracy Plus, which says that Prime Minister Kurti's four proposals are good, but not realistic to move forward in the framework of dialogue.
“Four Prime Minister Kurti's proposals are good, but are unrealistic to move on. Because we will not take a pledge from the Serbian side, in the absence of this pledge, what will be Kosovo's position: Will we continue with the dialogue process or retire? The very fact of dialogue implies that we must reach a compromise point. So I think that the Government of Kosovo should work closely as with our partners to push forward the things that are convening us, but we cannot be stubborn in this process and we cannot be a constructive side in the” dialogue process, he said.
Regarding the need for meetings of a lower political rank to agree on the agenda, Abrashi says such co-ordination meetings are good, but agreements can also be made in co-ordination with dialogue mediators, in this case the European Union.
Each co-ordination meeting is good because we manage to have a clarity in the continuation of the dialogue process. However, these agreement on topics can also be made in co-ordination with the EU, the two sides present their positions, and in the end the European Union does the co-ordination, as it does as moderately in this process”, he has said.
For the possibilities of such a meeting over the next week, Kosova Prees has tried to take a position by Kosovo's first Deputy Prime Minister, Besnik Bislimi and government spokesman For Progress Kryeziu, but the same have not returned.
While European Commission spokesman Peter Stano does not suggest there may be a preliminary meeting of the lowest political rank between the Kosovo and the Serb sides, but says the dates and agenda of dialogue will publish it whenever appropriate.
“We will announce the dates and agenda of future dialog meetings whenever appropriate. As a general rule, we do not announce meetings at the technical level of experts. So we would only make an announcement if it was, and whenever it was appropriate”, he said.
At the first summit under the resumption of Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Prime Minister Kurti proposed that the six Western Balkan states advance CEFTA to SEFTA, Kosovo and Serbia immediately sign a joint agreement pledging they would not attack each other.
The third proposal was behind bilateral recognition between Kosovo and Serbia, in both countries to have bilate reciprocity, including the minority issue. So Serbs in Kosovo have their National Council, as do Albanians and Bosniaks in Serbia. As a last proposal, Kurti demanded Veljko Odalovic's resignation from the Serbian delegation and the same question the issue of the unknown. / KP
