Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Thursday afternoon, met the diaspora at “City Park” in Pristina. Before them, the governor told of the accomplishments, which he said were made by the executive in these four months.
Kurti told exiles that these months of government have proved it is possible to work differently and better in Kosovo.
Over the past four months, we have proved that it is really possible, different and much better in Kosovo in every respect. While in the area of fighting corruption and crime, you all have the impression, I am also happy economically with Kosovo. Kosovo's customs in the five months of the year for the first ever have exceeded the 500m euros in revenue, and that is 28 percent more than last year... Exports have increased for 66% circulation in the economy 15 % and we expect Kosovo's budget, which is 2.5 billion, to enable us with our good governance to complete the year with at least 7.9% local gross product as economic growth for Kosovo”, he said.
He also spoke of selling diaspora bonds that began today.
We've even started with treasury bonds. We already have special diaspora bonds, offers worth a total of about 1m euros that are not bad for the first day. In the coming weeks, we're going to face the Cavid19 pandemic, this time with multiple tools due to vaccines we've outlined, but also by respecting physical distance so that any version of it will not endanger public health. But even the other social economic crises that have been and continue this day will have a cabinet of ministers working day and night and would certainly prevail for the sake of citizens”
The chief of executives thanked the Wednesday for helping Kosovo in any era, as well as for their participation in the elections.
“in particular I thank you for the democratic participation in elections that have been made in Kosovo and you have influenced the changes that have been realised and will be realised, but not only those who send financial means but also have the political and public voice. We see you not only as a source of income for your families and our homeland, but also as a source of knowledge of the skills of professions since students, professionals and academics are among the best in our country and our nation are also in our debt”, he said.
