Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has called for citizens to be vaccinated.
The executive chief also stressed on a Facebook note that when they accepted the task four months ago, the pandemic situation found it much heavier than what they left on June 3, 2020.
He reiterated that on the day of the oath in the Assembly, he vowed that the management of the pandemic would be a priority of our government, to stop the growing trend of infection and death as a result of COVID-19 and to ensure anti-virus vaccines as quickly as possible.
Total Kurt Posting:
When we accepted the commission, four months ago, the pandemic situation was much heavier than what we left on June 3, 2020. By then, according to IKKPK data, there were 1,142 cases of infected and unfortunately 30 deaths.
On March 23, 2021, about 8 months later, the data reported 83,717 cases of total infection and 1,786 deaths, and only that day there were 781 new cases of infection and 17 deaths.
On the day of the oath in the Parliament, we pledged that the management of pandemic will be a priority for our government, to stop the growing trend of infection and death as a result of COVID-19 and to ensure that anti-virus vaccines are quickly secured.
After joint efforts, there are only 126 active cases in our Republic today from 12,808 such as on our first day of work. So the pandemic has been brought under control and the situation has improved markedly. But now we are threatened by the spread of the variant “delta” of the virus. In front of him the shield for each of us is vaccine, and for all of us, mass inoculation.
We secured the vaccines. They're safe. Kosovo is the only country in the region that is using vaccines approved by the Federal Bars Agency of the United States and the European Bars Agency, Pfizer and Astrazeneca. Now all citizens over the age of 18 can be vaccinated and can choose their own vaccine.
Dear citizens,
I urge you to set the term for vaccination on the https://ekosova platform.rks-gov.net or at the main Family Medicine Centres in your municipalities.
With the memory of the loved ones we lost in the pandemic, take care of ourselves and our loved ones by vaccinating. Responsible individually and for each other, together we succeed
