The Kosovo Police Directorate General's object in Pristina has become the discovery of the memorial plaque “The Kosovo Hires” for police officials fallen in the post. Prime Minister Albin Kurti, recalling the sacrifice of all members of the Kosovo Police and those who fell to the post, said it is a government mission for every citizen of this country to feel secure.
While assured that families of the fallen will have the material support of the government he leads.
“Since the establishment of Police 21 policemen have given up their lives. They gave their lives to protect their families, its roots are in our army. In the post-war years Kosovo police have been more important without which there was no freedom and independence. Women and men joining the Kosovo Police to make Kosovo a better place. Just 10 years ago, Enver Zymber gave his life in defense of the sovereignty and protection of our country. From an early age, he has joined our country as a hero. It's our government's mission that every citizen of this country feels safe. The families of the fallen will have the material support of our government”, he said.
Present at this opening of the memorial plaque was top speaker Glauk Konjufca, who said Kosovo police are the most important institution to take care of public safety.
We are gathered today in this atmosphere of mourning due to the accident in Croatia. It's July 26th that has brought us together today where the fall of Enver Zymber is marked. We have our heroes of war, they gave their lives for the freedom of Kosovo, such as 21 hero policemen who gave their lives to Kosovo citizens for their security. Kosovo police are the most important institution to take care of the country and public safety. Those who fell in the police uniform will be remembered forever, our institutions will stay close to their families.
And Kosovo Police General Director Sabdin Mehmet, who said working at this institution is not common, as you have to face life risks as well.
However, he adds that the 21 fallen police officers became the model for protecting the country.
We are gathered to remember our 21 heroes. Kosovo police were established in September 1999 at the villa, joined by the country's best girls and boys. Police work is not a common task in which you face various dangers. So far, 21 police officials have fallen, who turned into the model as the country has to be protected, he added.
