The federal prosecutor suspects that the two persons had not reported the planned crimes and that is why their apartments were checked Wednesday morning, reports the DPA news agency.
No person has been arrested on this case.
In the attack that took place about eight months ago, K. F., a supporter of the terrorist organisation Islamic State (IS) in the Austrian capital, had killed four people and injured some of them severely, broadcast albinfo.ch. He himself was then killed by police shooting.
The two suspects, a Kosovar and a German citizen, were targeted immediately after the attack. On November 6th, the federal prosecutor's office had raided the homes of four people between the ages of 19 and 25 who reportedly were linked to the killer, broadcasts albinfo.ch.
But at that time, however, all had been brought as witnesses to ensure possible evidence.
In the meantime, investigators have more concrete data: The two people, as it became known in November, had visited the later assassin in Vienna in July 2020 and had also stayed with her.
