The Kosovo government has indicated to the people that it is carefully following the situation on the ground following recent floods and has raised the level of readiness. It has also become known that there is no demand for help from municipalities, but the Government has indicated that it will respond to [...] requests.
It has also become known that there are no calls for assistance from municipalities, but the Government has indicated that it will respond to citizens' demands in case of need.
This is the full announcement:
Dear citizens,
We are carefully following the situation on the ground, and for this we have raised the level of co-ordination and reaction capacity readiness, with the aim of responding to the situation created by Kosovo's resources, namely:
The Agency for Emergency Management (AME) has announced all acters and alert level announcements have been forwarded to all relevant municipalities for Protection and Rescue, through the 112 Emergency Operations Centre system, which is constantly monitoring the situation.
The announcement has been made about the state of personnel and teams' equipment for high capacity pumping, search for salvation in surface waters and barriers to protection of critical infrastructure.
The AME is continuing to follow the situation and is ready for response with the Professional Units of Fire and Rescue in the Communists. However, so far, it has not accepted any demands from municipalities and has not accepted reports that the risk situation has been declared from any part of the territory for the central level.
Despite the fact that there are no demands from municipalities so far, the central level is in a position to respond to citizens' demands. For this, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will also co-ordinate and co-operate with the KSF, who have mobilised their teams for reaction, so we appeal to municipalities to address demand and need assistance and simultaneously appeal to citizens, to avoid the risks of co-operating by taking steps as follows:
You can do the information at the Emergency Operations Center, through the unique emergency number ) 112, you can call and receive it without prefixes, anywhere in the Republic of Kosovo.
