O Secretary VL-KLA, Faton Klonaku at the media conference, has said the Special Court cannot shut up unless it is imprisoned.

He has said that nothing links anything to the prisoners found in The Hague if he comes out and speaks on television, as Chief Special Prosecutor Jack Smith had used a Klinka statement as an argument why Wessel should continue custody.

“The VL-KLA has not changed, we continue to consider that this Special Court does not pursue war crimes, but KLA members and the liberation fight. What's it got to connect me to Kadri Wessel or the others why I talk on television if they want to shut us up for nothing because we don't shut up. Once again I'm saying it's easy to get Faton Klink to jail and stop him from talking there and talk to him in prison, he said.

Klink also said he can't find out what Thaci and others are talking about, since he says only the OVL-KLA position.

Neither Hashim Thaci nor Kadri Veselin, nor any prisoners there, nor Nasim Haradinaj and Hysni Gucati as to what I give for opinion because I present only one stance that OVL has. OV The L-KLA has since January 7th 2011 failed to co-operate with international justice authorities, the pseudacity which has caused many scandals that have come up with various reports over the years. UNMIK, EULEX and now Special Court. Former Judge Malcolm Simmons has told of the injustices that have been done to members of the Kosovo Liberation Army”, Klink said before the media.

The chief prosecutor of the Specialised Chambers, Jack Smith, in a document sent to The Hague's Pre-Procedure Court, has listed his arguments, why Kadri Wessel must still remain in custody and why the defence request for freedom should be rejected.

Smith, in his argument, also mentioned the statement by KLAA Vetrans leader Faton Klinkaku's taskman, that he would publish special court documents again in case they were handed over.

This Declaration of the Veterans' Clink along with the “Freedom campaign has a name, KLA” are two of the many arguments Smith has listed and, according to him, increases the risk in the case of Kadri Wessel's release from custody.

On June 4th, 2021, Faton Klinku, the incumbent chairman of the Veterans, an organisation composed of former members of the accused with a solid membership of over 400,000, has given an interview in which he promised to publish confidential documents of the Special Chambers if they fall into his hand. This is extraordinary, putting that Mr. Klink is in charge because the former chairman and deputy head of KLA veterans are being prosecuted in the Specialised Chambers for identical behavior”, it says in the document.
