According to several reports and videos published in Miami Herald and other countries, Mosies' killers claimed to be members of the U.S. DEA until they entered the residence that was being guarded by guards.
In the videos that were being circulated in social media, a man with an American accent is heard saying via a megaphone: the DEA operation. Everybody stay down. DEA operation. Everybody back off, stay down. ”
These were mercenaries,” said a Haitian government official.
Residents also reported hearing gunshots and seeing a man dressed in black wandering in the neighborhood.
