Kosovo Assembly MPs have voted by 89 votes for the resolution on condemning the Serb genocide in Srebrenica. A similar resolution has been voted in Montenegro's Parliament.
The head of the Serbian LDP commented on the recent adoption of a resolution condemning the Serb genocide in Srebrenica, from Kosovo and Montenegro. He says it is not enough to remember this event only before the anniversary, until it suggests that resolutions are viewed as abuse.
It's not enough to remember Srebrenica before another bloody anniversary. I often feel that Srebrenica is being abused more than it is understood<1>, he said.
The witnesses of Srebrenica do not even need to kneel after so many years. They need honesty, understanding, respect... everything that is not there and cannot be concealed in a few sentences in a resolution or a random visit to Potocari”, Jovanovic said.
Turnout by Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic and Montenegrin Deputy Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic has already been confirmed in Srebrenica for the anniversary. Jovanovic will also be present at Srebrenica. He has said going to Srebrenica on August 11th is a duty.
