Tehran briefed the International Atomic Energy Agency [ The IAEA was to develop fuel for the research reactor.
But uranium metal can also be used to make the core nuclear bomb, writes BBC, translate Periscope.
European powers said this Iran movement violates the nuclear agreement and threatens talks to revive that agreement.
The US called “an unfortunate step back”.
In a statement on Tuesday, IAEA stated: “Today, Iran informed the agency that UO2 [the uranium dioxide] was enriched by 20 percent...”
