In the Shtrpce municipality, officials say the vaccine process has not awakened the citizens' great interest and, therefore, at the vaccine centre in the village of Drajkov, has been set a short time when citizens who want to be vaccinated can do so from 09:00 to 1: 00 p.m.

This center, due to lack of doctors, is out of work over the weekend.

The reason we have this short time is the few citizens who get vaccinated. So far we have 280 people vaccinated. Citizens have no interest in vaccinating, about six persons a day, and that's why we're working at this time. We call people on the phone for vaccination”, Free Europe Radio, Valmir Ahmeti, director of the Health Directorate in the Shrpca municipality.

Problems with the vaccine process have occurred on Friday, July 2nd, in the sport hall “Bashkim Selisha” in Gjilan, which serves as a vaccine centre.

There, many citizens have been unable to vaccinate, despite having previously appointed the term. The vaccine was not realised because there were technical problems of the vaccine system.

The problem also presents a change of term for vaccine. Fatlum Morina, who lives in the Fusha Kosovo municipality, had set the term for vaccinating today (Monday) at 6600 in Pristina, but said it is impossible to get there at this time.

He told Radio Free Europe that he lost the possibility of vaculation, as he could not change the term.

I was told there was no way to change the term. I have to leave or apply again. The woman has been told she should be vaccinated in Kamenica, though by letter we are residents of Fushe Kosovo. Tomorrow we have to go to Camenica at 7:00, and I don't know if they work at that time of the evening”, he said.

Meanwhile, even in Pristina, problems have been enumerated with the process of immunising anti-cronavirus, confirms the director of the Directorate for Health in the capital, Bujar Gashi.

He told Radio Free Europe that citizens have complained even in the municipality.

There's resentment, there's complaints in us. The census or entry, the introduction on the database to vaccinate... has had technical problems and citizens' complaints of e-Kosovo. From time to time, we are also set free from the system, which is in the Family Medical Centers, where chronically ill citizens can register to receive the vaccine, but this system, at times, does not function”, Gashi indicated.

He added that the vaccine process against COVID-19 needs to be accelerated.

“I think there are enough vaccines and the number of terms per day must increase, because it has capacities, but there is also vaccine”, he said.

In the Hall of “1 October”, which is the only vaccination centre in Pristina on Saturday and Sunday, citizens who want to get the first dose of vaccine cannot do so, as at the weekend, only those who have to receive the second dose of vaccine are vaccinated at this center.

In the Ministry of Health, the number of administered doses has increased since mass vaccines have increased in the past two weeks, adding over 210 thousand. From this institution, the vaccine process is under way without major problems.

MSH also said that vaccine capacity has increased throughout the country, with 90 inoculation teams now at 278.

This has also been transmitted with the necessary infrastructure and other logistical aspects, which ensure that in the coming days and weeks, there will be enough vaccines, increased dynamics of the process and we expect even greater interest of citizens to be vaccinated as they are gradually transitioned to the third phase of vaccine, which includes the largest number of categories to be vaccinated by the MSH.

The Ministry of Health said that in some small municipalities, although the working schedule is long, whenever all persons who have had terms are vaccinated, the vaccination teams end up early.

“Anyway, where there was any citizens' complaints about the schedule, the MSH committed the healthcare inspector, who carried out inspections, seeing if one of the persons who was scheduled for the vaccine has not been able to do this”, the MSH said.

As far as other technical problems are concerned, in the SSH said no citizen who has appointed the term remains uninoculated due to technical or system problems.

On Saturday, July 3rd, Kosovo accepted over 182 thousand doses of AstraZenecas vaccine, which were donations from Norway's state.

Mass vaccine for Kosovo citizens against COVID-19, started June 15th. In one day, over a thousand doses of vaccines are given against COVID-19.

Since the beginning of the vaccine in late March, over 206 thousand doses of the vaccine have been given in all Kosovo cities, while the number of people who have received both doses of the vaccine is about 50,000.

Authorities have called on citizens, who, in order to manage the process in all vaccine centres anywhere in Kosovo and eliminate any unnecessary situation, stick to the defined term for vaccine.
