The state of Germany is now facing a catastrophic situation as a result of floods caused by heavy rainfall, where up to 80 people have so far lost their lives and hundreds of others have disappeared.

All of this, according to experts, is said to be happening because of climate change.

And in Kosovo, for the next week, it is meant to be weather change where there will be storm-shaped rains and lightning discharges.

Contacted Bashkim Kastrati from the Hydrology and Hydrological Prognoza at the Kosovo Hydrometeorology Institute, it has said that Kosovo does not risk facing a similar situation like Germany. Kastrati has stressed that despite the rainfall that will fall over the next week, there is no danger of flooding or floods of such proportions.

We're going to follow the meteorological situation, there may be local rainfall, but floods of such size are safe, we're out of the area”, Kastrati said.

On the other hand, Besim Aliu from IHMK has indicated that over the next week, there will be a drop in temperatures that will be accompanied by rainfall.

Even today, we are designed to have storm - shaped rainfall, it is not ruled out that we have hailfall in isolated places because of the drop of temperatures from 37 days ago to 28-27 degrees. There will be wind from the southeast, and speed will be easy”, Ali said.

He added that this weather, except for rain showers and hail places, will be a constant discharge of lightning.

Aliu has stressed that the highest temperature has been recorded in the municipality of Kamenica 37.4 degrees Celsius, then in Gjakova, Prizren and Malisheva.
