Democratic Party of Kosovo deputy Bedri Hamza does not expect Kurti Government to deliver on the promises and projects presented with the government programme, since according to him, the same are not reflected in the budget.
At the Kosovo Assembly session where the day is in order is the second review of the draft law on changing and completing the law on budgetary division, Hamza has said the bill is not the right one and does not reflect the needs of citizens.
“There is a total disrepute between the government and budget programme, promises which are written and presented in the government programme which is discussed in this assembly are not reflected in the budget, and any promise and any project lacking financial construction it remains unconventional, at least for 2021. There will be no salary increases, no increases in pensions, no start implementing the considerable number of funds that are over dozens of proposed funds in the government programme and presented in the government programme, and we have a non-refundance of the economic recovery law”, Hamza said.
According to him, the budget deficit remains at high levels.
The “is very disturbing if the public debt increase continues as presented in this, and Mr. Prime Minister I am telling you, if that's how you continue to identify yourself as the government that has increased the public debt mostly”, he added.
Hamza has said that if economic growth comes in public debt then it is not sustainable and that according to him the government should be cautious.
I understand that the budget besides the professional document is also a political document, but I've expected that in between two readings there will be an improvement, within real possibilities not to outdo them, but that actually hasn't happened and I believe that MPs, above all the demands of municipalities, that no one except the MPs had to represent these, had to be taken and treated more seriously. Certain symbolic changes have clearly been made. Several symbolic amendments of some status deputies have been taken into account, and there has been an agreement, which I don't see as bad, but is good with enu, an agreement between coalition partners, especially the Vetevendosje Movement, the non-major communities and the Serbian List”, Hamza said.
