In his interview, the head of Greek diplomacy has commented on three hot <x0 issues”, Greece's relations with Turkey, implementation of the Prespa Agreement, the Cyprus and Kosovo issue.
Regarding the message of the new expanded role of Kosovo's diplomatic representation in Athens and two visits to Pristina within months, Minister Dendias has been asked whether Greece plans to recognise Kosovo and whether the act is against International Law.
The Greek minister has commented that “the integration of the Western Balkans into the EU's European family constitutes a priority issue, as stability in the region directly affects our country's security. We're not pro-creating the <x1-95 black crime in our north.
Although our positioning regarding the Kosovo statute has not changed, we maintain a constructive attitude and support dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade. Regarding the legality of a possible recognition, The Hague International Court resulted in 2010 that Kosovo's declaration of independence does not amount to violations of the International Law, since it was not the product of the use of illegal violence condemned by the Security Council, such as the Cusedostate (rendered in Turkish Sedocundity in Cyprus) in 1983. With the breakup of the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia, many new states were established, none of which were the result of an external attack”.
