Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has hosted a meeting today at Germany's Foreign Ministry State Secretary Miguel Berger.
President Osmani has expressed her gratitude for Germany's continued support for Kosovo and its people, suggesting that this state remains one of our country's most reliable partners.
“President Osmani has cited the visa liberalisation process for citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, stressing that all criteria for liberalisation have been met and that there is no reason to delay the process further. In this context, the president has stressed the need for further deepening reports between the two states, including economic, diplomatic and cultural co-operation. Osman also stressed that rule of law is the precondition for further development of the Republic of Kosovo, and brings our country closer to the European Union”, said the presidency's announcement.
As far as the dialogue process is concerned, President Osmani stressed that the priority for the Republic of Kosovo should be to whitewash the fate of the missing with violence, as well as complete the process with mutual recognition. She also pointed out that strengthening alliances with friendly states is necessary to our country's success.
“Other way, Mr. Berger has expressed condolences to President Osmani for Sunday's tragedy in Croatia. He has positively assessed the approach of institutions of the Republic of Kosovo to ensure Kosovo's economic development and approach to the EU. According to him, Germany is in favour of visa liberalisation for Kosovo citizens. He has also stated that Germany will continue to support the Republic of Kosovo in various fields and that they are ready for further deepening bilateral co-operation between two states”, the report says.
