The UN body concluded at a meeting in China that the exceptional universal “8x1> coast of Liverpool had been destroyed by new buildings, including the new Everton Stadium that would cost 500 million pounds.
The decision is quite embarrassing to the city and gives Liverpool the shameful freedom of being only the third city to lose U's status. NESTO in 50 years, reports Guardian, records Periscope.
Liverpool's status in question had been preserved since 2004.
The label in question gives historical sites access to UN funding for conservation and are under the protection of Geneva conventions in cases of war. /Periscope
